Partnerships with schools and healthcare providers are central to the Ghana Medical Foundation’s work. By collaborating with educators and medical professionals, the foundation is able to deliver programs that support both student health and educational opportunity.
These partnerships allow health education clinics, scholarships, and service initiatives to be implemented in ways that are organized, responsible, and grounded in the needs of the communities being served.
Schools provide the primary setting where many of the foundation’s programs take place. Through partnerships with school administrators and teachers, students are able to participate in health education clinics and scholarship opportunities.
School partnerships allow the foundation to:
Host monthly health education sessions for students
Identify students who may qualify for scholarships
Coordinate service projects that support the learning environment
Encourage students to explore future opportunities in healthcare
The foundation is currently developing partnerships with several schools that will participate in the pilot program.
These include:
Odoben Senior High School — Odoben, Ghana
Middle School in Winneba — Winneba, Ghana
Middle School in Kasoa — Kasoa, Ghana
Healthcare professionals play an important role in the pilot program by helping deliver accurate and practical health education.
The Ghana Medical Foundation works with local clinics and healthcare providers who may participate in the program by:
Teaching monthly health education clinics
Providing guidance on health education topics
Supporting safe and responsible health programming
Working with healthcare professionals helps ensure that students receive reliable, culturally appropriate health information that can benefit both them and their families.
These clinics will be later identified after our site visit in April.
By partnering with both schools and healthcare providers, the Ghana Medical Foundation connects education and health in a unified approach.
These partnerships help create programs that strengthen student knowledge, support families, and contribute to healthier communities.
