Our organization was founded by two young men, Blake Marx and Carter Broadwater, who lived in Ghana while serving religious missions for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. During their time there, they witnessed firsthand the challenges individuals and families—especially children—face in accessing medical education. After returning home, Blake and Carter discussed how they could make a lasting difference for the people of Ghana. Together, they went on to co-found the Ghana Medical Foundation, with a goal to improve the quality of life for individuals and families through accessible medical education
