Essential Partnerships

Developing Clinical Partnerships

GMF is building relationships with hospitals, medical schools, public health departments, and healthcare professionals who can strengthen health education and create meaningful career opportunities for students. 

These partnerships are still developing, but each institution offers a different opportunity to support professional-led clinics, mentorship, career guidance, healthcare exposure, and future internship pathways. We are in the process of identifying a representative from each organization to be a point-of-contact and the face of GMF to that community.

University of Cape Coast Medical School

The University of Cape Coast Medical School has become one of GMF’s strongest early medical education connections. Student leaders responded positively to the Foundation’s mission and expressed interest in supporting outreach to secondary school students.

This developing partnership may connect students with medical student mentors, health education speakers, career guidance, and volunteers who understand the pathway into medical education in Ghana.

Saint Gregory Hospital

Saint Gregory Hospital is a developing clinical partner with the potential to support professional instruction and healthcare career exposure.

Through continued collaboration, hospital professionals may contribute to student clinics, career presentations, practical demonstrations, and conversations about the responsibilities of working in healthcare.

Odoben Hospital

Odoben Hospital offers an important local connection for students in and around the Odoben community.

The developing relationship may help GMF involve local healthcare professionals in health education, introduce students to healthcare roles, and explore safe, supervised opportunities for students to better understand clinical environments.

Winneba Hospital

GMF has begun outreach to Winneba Hospital and plans to continue discussions regarding possible collaboration.

Potential areas of partnership include professional-led health education, career presentations, clinical exposure, and future opportunities that connect students with healthcare workers serving the Winneba community.

Building Partnerships Responsibly

Each relationship will develop at a different pace. GMF will continue working with institutional leaders to clarify responsibilities, confirm appropriate activities, establish points of contact, and ensure that student safety and professional standards remain central to every collaboration.

Developing School Partnerships

GMF is building relationships with schools that can help identify student needs, coordinate programming, support family communication, and create consistent spaces for health education and career preparation. 

These partnerships are still developing, but each school may play an important role in student selection, clinic scheduling, tutoring, mentorship, scholarship support, and long-term program evaluation. Currently, we are in constant communication and in the process of training representatives of these schools to work with our programs.

Odoben High School

Odoben High School is one of GMF’s strongest early school connections.

School leadership responded positively to the Foundation’s mission and expressed interest in beginning student-focused programming. This developing partnership may support health education clinics, academic assistance, mentorship, healthcare career guidance, and future exposure opportunities for students interested in healthcare.

Winneba High School

Winneba High School is another developing educational partner with the potential to support student participation and school-based programming.

Continued collaboration may allow GMF to coordinate health education clinics, identify students who would benefit from academic and career support, and work with school leadership to develop activities that fit the school’s priorities and schedule.

Building School Partnerships Responsibly

Each school partnership will be developed in coordination with school leadership and local representatives.

GMF will work to clarify student eligibility, schedules, permissions, staff contacts, communication expectations, program responsibilities, and methods for tracking participation and progress.

The goal is to build school partnerships that are practical, respectful, and sustainable while helping students access health knowledge, educational support, and clearer pathways into healthcare careers.
